Additional needs…

Housed in a grade II listed building the museums layout can be confusing in places as of the combination of buildings and floors.

We use lights, sounds, smoke and smells to bring history to life. Please ask our team for more information. Sensory friendly maps are available on the day of your visit. These maps highlight areas of the museum.

Our team are currently working hard to raise funds to install a lift into the main building to allow for better accesses around the upper floors.

If you have any questions and wish to speak directly to a member of staff please call 0114 2491 999 within our opening hours. Our team are always happy to help make everyone's visit an amazing one!
